If your government employment ended before 2003, your earned occupational pension remains with us at SPV and possibly Kåpan Pensioner.

If your employment ended between 1992 and 2002

The PA-91 occupational pension collective agreement was valid between 1992 and 2002. The collective agreement included a defined benefit retirement pension and a part called Kåpan Tjänste.

You may have the right to defined benefit retirement pension (also known as life annuity)

You could have the right to defined benefit retirement pension if you were employed more than three years after you turned 28 years. The amount is dependent on the salary (pensionable salary) and your time in government employment.

What is pensionable salary?

Simplified pensionable salary is the average of your five latest annual salary as government employee. As an example if you ended your employment in June 2001 the pensionable salary would be the annual salaries for 1996-2000. 

Index-link of annuity

The annuity is index-linked with the price base amount and follows price development. Usually the value of the annuity is secured by indexation when payment starts, meaning at 65 years of age. The securing of the value happens without action from you. Certain persons that meet specific criteria's has the possibility to secure the value for time before 65 years of age. Apply for payment of life annuity

For payment of life annuity you need to send us an application. The annuity is paid out from 65 years of age and for as long as you live.

You may have the right to Kåpan Tjänste

If your government employment ended before 2003, you may have a right to Kåpan Tjänste. In that case, that part of your occupational pension is with Kåpan Government Employees Pension Funduntil it is time for you to retire. When you want your pension to be paid out you have to apply for it. See their website for more information.
