Personal data

Here you can read about how we treat your personal data according to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Personal data that you or your employer submit to us is processed and used, among other things, to

  • calculate and pay out various pensions and benefits to you
  • calculate how much money your employer will pay into your pension
  • be able to make forecasts
  • generate statistics
  • conduct customer surveys
  • be able to show your pension statements for you
  • develop and inform about our business
  • economic and personnel administration purposes
  • fulfill other legal obligations, such as registering and disclosing public documents.

Information that exists about current or former state employees is, for example, names, personal identification number, employment information, periods of sickness and information on incoming and outgoing payments. We receive information from, and provide information to, for example, employers, pension funds, the Swedish Tax Agency, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the Swedish Enforcement Service and Min Pension.

Your rights

You can request

  • information, a registry extract, about how we process your personal data and if so, which ones
  • correction if you believe that we treat incorrect information about you
  • deletion of your personal data.

You can also request that we limit the processing of your personal data and also object to the treatment.

Regulations for our processing of personal data can be found in the General Data Protection Regulation and in the Data Protection Act (Dataskyddslagen) (2018: 218).

About the principle of public access to official records

E-mails, letters and other documents received by us are public documents. This means that they must be submitted on request if they are not covered by confidentiality.
